Back End Developer

About the Role

RovorAI is building a unified AI workspace that connects multiple AI models, organizational knowledge, projects, and workflows.

We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer with hands-on experience building production-grade AI-powered applications to help develop and scale our core platform.

Tech Stack & Requirements

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, Microservices
• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis
• AI/LLMs: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini APIs
• RAG: Document processing, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, context management
• Vector Databases: Pinecone, Qdrant, Weaviate, pgvector, or equivalent
• AI Agents: Agent orchestration, tool/function calling, multi-step workflows
• Distributed Systems: Message queues, asynchronous processing, concurrency, fault tolerance
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS/GCP, Docker, CI/CD

What You'll Work On

• Build scalable backend infrastructure for our multi-model AI platform.
• Develop RAG pipelines, organizational knowledge retrieval, and context management systems.
• Design AI agent orchestration and automated workflows.
• Integrate third-party platforms such as Slack, Jira, GitHub, and Google Workspace.
• Build secure, multi-tenant APIs and distributed backend services.
• Optimize AI performance, latency, reliability, and API costs.

What We're Looking For

• Someone with 3+ years of backend experience who has independently built and deployed AI-powered features, including hands-on experience with RAG, vector databases, agent orchestration, and distributed systems.
