We’re Hiring: Senior AI Product Engineer (Full Stack & Generative AI)

Experience: 5–8 years | Remote | Full-time

At Haute Secret Shoppers (HSS), we’re building the next generation of AI-powered luxury fashion sourcing and styling.

We’re looking for an exceptional, hands-on engineer who can take a product from concept to deployment, leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate development across the entire technology stack.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of a product’s technical direction, build intelligent AI-driven experiences and work directly with the business to turn ambitious ideas into working software.

What you’ll do

• Design and build AI-powered search, product discovery, recommendation and personalisation systems.

• Develop LLM-powered applications using RAG, embeddings, vector/hybrid search and agentic workflows where appropriate.

• Own full-stack development, including frontend, backend, APIs, databases and integrations.

• Build and optimise product data pipelines, search systems and recommendation logic.

• Use AI coding agents extensively to accelerate development, testing, UI implementation and debugging.

• Make architectural decisions and manage deployment, performance, security, scalability and API costs.

• Translate business requirements into practical solutions and deliver working features independently.

What we’re looking for

*Experience*

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong full-stack development experience.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building AI/LLM-powered applications, ideally deployed in production.

• Demonstrable experience taking products or substantial features from concept through development and deployment.

• Experience working in startups, lean teams or product-focused environments is a plus.

*Technical expertise*

• *Backend:* Strong Python experience, including API development and data processing.

• *Frontend:* Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and React/Next.js experience.

• *AI/LLMs:* Practical experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool calling, RAG, embeddings and retrieval systems.

• *Search & recommendations:* Experience with semantic search, vector databases, hybrid search, ranking or recommendation systems.

• *Data & infrastructure:* Experience with SQL databases, third-party integrations, cloud deployment, CI/CD and automated testing.

• *AI-assisted development:* Hands-on use of tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI coding agents.

*Mindset*

• Strong problem-solving and product-thinking abilities.

• Comfortable owning the entire development lifecycle rather than working exclusively within one technical discipline.

• Able to balance rapid prototyping with maintainable, secure and reliable code.

• Excellent communication, accountability and a bias towards execution.
