We're hiring our founding product designer to own UI/UX end to end and take our first clinic product from concept to launch.

Field Detail

  • Title Senior / Founding Product Designer (UI/UX)
  • Company Caretech360.ai
  • Location Kochi, Kerala, India (on-site)
  • Type Full-time
  • Reports to Founder / CEO
  • Works with Product Manager, engineering (US + India), clinical advisors
  • Experience 7+ years product design, 2+ shipping 0-to-1 products About us and the opportunityCaretech360.ai builds AI-powered software that automates and optimizes workflows for small and mid-size clinics worldwide. Our team already serves medical practices, clinical research sites, and medspas, so we know the problems firsthand.

We are now taking our first product from zero to one. You will define how clinicians, front-desk staff, and patients experience it, and how AI shows up in their daily work. Your designs ship to real clinics within months, not years.

What you'll do• Own the end-to-end UX for our first product: discovery, flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and launch.

  • Run fast research with clinic owners, providers, and staff; turn findings into clear problem statements and journey maps.
  • Design AI-native experiences: copilots, ambient documentation, smart intake, summaries, and agentic workflows that clinicians trust.
  • Define patterns for AI transparency: confidence cues, citations, human review, edit-and-approve, and graceful failure states.
  • Build and maintain our design system from scratch in Figma, with tokens and components engineering can ship.
  • Use AI tools (generative UI, prototyping, code-gen) to go from idea to clickable or coded prototype in days.
  • Partner daily with the Product Manager and engineers to scope MVPs, make trade-offs, and review builds before release.
  • Design for HIPAA, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and busy clinical settings: low clicks, clear hierarchy, error prevention.
  • Instrument and test: usability tests, analytics, and post-launch iteration on activation and retention.
  • Shape brand expression across product, website, and onboarding.

Must-haves• 7+ years in product design (UI and UX) for web and mobile SaaS.

  • Shipped at least one product from 0 to 1, ideally as an early or founding designer at a startup.
  • Healthcare or other regulated-domain experience: EHR/EMR, practice management, telehealth, patient engagement, or clinical research.
  • Hands-on design of AI or LLM-powered features, with a clear point of view on trust, explainability, and human-in-the-loop UX.
  • Daily fluency with AI design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma AI, v0, Lovable, Claude, Cursor).
  • Expert in Figma, design systems, and interactive prototyping.
  • Strong research skills: interviews, usability testing, and synthesis into decisions.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA-aware design and WCAG accessibility.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and owning outcomes without a large team.
  • Clear communicator who collaborates well with distributed teams across US and India time zones.

Nice-to-haves• Front-end skills (HTML/CSS, React) to prototype in code or ship UI polish.

  • Experience with conversational and voice UI, ambient scribing, or agent workflows.
  • Background with medspa, specialty practice, or clinical research site operations.
  • Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 data and integration-driven UX.
  • Experience designing for global markets, localization, and multi-tenant admin tools.
  • Brand, marketing site, or motion design skills.

First 90 days and success measuresBy day 90 you have shipped the MVP experience to pilot clinics and set up the design system it runs on.

Window Outcomes

  • Days 1–30 10+ clinic interviews; core personas and journey maps; UX audit of current prototypes; MVP flows agreed with PM
  • Days 31–60 High-fidelity MVP designs; design system v1 (tokens + core components); AI interaction patterns defined; 2 rounds of usability tests
  • Days 61–90 MVP in pilot clinics; onboarding flow live; feedback loop and analytics in place; next-release roadmap

Success is measured by pilot activation, task completion time, usability scores (SUS), clinician trust in AI outputs, and speed from idea to shipped UI.

Tools we use: Figma, AI prototyping tools (v0, Lovable, Claude), Jira or Linear, Maze or similar for testing, analytics (e.g. Mixpanel).
