Full Stack Developer (NodeJS, React)

Job Description

• Backend-heavy full stack development with approximately 70-80% focus on backend.
• Design, build, scale, and support high-quality, customer-facing applications in a cloud-native AWS environment.
• Strong hands-on coding and development in Node.js, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
• Develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Frontend development using React with 2-3 years experience; develop responsive, reusable frontend applications.
• Use of TypeScript preferred.
• Work with AWS services (S3, SQS, ECS) from a developer perspective, not DevOps.
• Design efficient data models and access patterns using Amazon DynamoDB.
• Apply software design patterns and architectural principles; capable of low-level system design.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend and backend production issues.
• Proactively address application performance, stability, scalability, security, and extensibility.
• Develop asynchronous workflows and integrations using queues and serverless services.
• Define application architecture and participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Ensure new code meets performance, security, reliability, and quality standards.
• Write automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Maintain high availability and production reliability.
• Monitor production applications with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerts.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and improve automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, quality engineers, and global teams.
• Work in Agile Scrum environment.
• Own features through the full software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Must-Have:

• Minimum 5+ years relevant experience.
• Strong backend expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, REST APIs.
• React experience (2-3 years).
• Working knowledge of AWS services: S3, SQS, ECS.
• Strong coding proficiency.
• Understanding of software design patterns and architectural principles.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience designing DynamoDB tables and access patterns.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright).
• Experience with CI/CD and containerization tools (Docker, Jenkins).
• Experience using Git-based source control and workflows.
• Good understanding of application monitoring, debugging, and production support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.Nice-to-Have:
• MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Redis or Amazon ElastiCache.
• AWS Step Functions, SNS, EventBridge, IAM, EC2.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation).
