Sr. Software Java Developer (Web Applications)

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time remote position with a budget of 6–10 LPA. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Java, JavaScript, and web application development, along with excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java and JavaScript.
  • Utilize Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA for backend development.
  • Implement and manage JSP, Servlets, and web application functionalities.
  • Work with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL for data management and integration.
  • Develop and consume REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Debug and resolve issues in the application with effective problem-solving strategies.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Knowledge of JSP, Servlets, and web application development.
  • Experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, or similar Java application servers.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
  • Exposure to CI/CD and automated build/deployment processes.
  • Experience supporting high-availability or business-critical enterprise applications.
  • Knowledge of application security, authentication, and role-based access control.
  • Exposure to modern frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Experience in modernizing legacy enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web development and the complete software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in web-based software development.
  • Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, JSP, and Servlets.
  • Practical experience with AngularJS, Backbone.js, and Marionette.js.
  • Strong backend development experience with Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle Database and SQL.
  • Proficient in PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, and database integrations.
  • Strong experience designing and consuming REST and SOAP web services.
  • Familiarity with APIs, Oracle DB Links, SFTP/file transfers, batch processing, and file-load scripts.
  • Experience working with Git and/or SVN repositories.
