Investment Analytics (Consultant)

Job Summary : Associate, Analytics | Open-End Funds

Key Responsibilities

• Produce recurring and ad hoc analyses on portfolio positions, exposures, liquidity, and performance for open-end strategy funds.
• Prepare and enhance reports covering performance metrics, risk analytics, portfolio characteristics, and liquidity profiles.
• Develop subject matter expertise in assigned open-end fund strategies, including fund structure and reporting conventions.
• Efficiently source, extract, and validate fund-level data using internal systems.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to manage and analyze large datasets related to portfolio holdings and performance.
• Support automation of investor reporting and internal performance packages.
• Partner with technology teams to improve data integrity, scalability, and reporting efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Investment, Product, Investor Relations, Marketing, Accounting, IT, Compliance) to refine and deliver open-end fund reports.
• Contribute to process improvements for reporting accuracy and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of open-end fund structures and alternative investments.
• 3+ years of experience with Python, SQL, and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
• CFA/CIPM candidates with at least one exam level passed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) preferred.

Education

• Bachelor s degree required (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field).
• Preferred: Chartered Accountant (CA), CFA, CA Inter, and/or MBA with Finance focus.
