Product Specialist

Fieldproxy is the AI-first field service platform for mid-market and enterprise operators. We replace legacy FSM tools like ServiceTitan, Simpro, ServiceM8 and IQ, plus spreadsheets, with software built around how each customer actually runs. That software is live in days, not months.

We’re hiring Solutions Architects to own that build, from the first discovery call to a team using it in the field.

What the role is

You’ll take a customer’s operation (dispatch, jobs, quotes, invoices, subcontractors, compliance, field apps) and turn it into a working Fieldproxy workspace. Often you’ll have it running before the sales call, so the prospect sees their own business in the demo.

You’ll build with AI in the loop. Most of the configuration is written with Claude Code and our internal skills. Your job is to know what good looks like, steer the build, check it against live data and ship it safely. You’re the person who knows whether the saved value comes back when the record is reopened, whether a status shows up on any list, and whether a write is properly gated.

What you’ll do

Run discovery. Learn a customer’s workflow, the tools they use now and what they actually need. Write it up as a clear requirements doc and build plan.
Build tenants end to end:
PostgreSQL schemas and seed data
web portals and mobile field apps (JSON-configured views, code widgets)
customer-facing public forms: quote approvals, job trackers, sign-offs, payment links
Automate the operation with Fieldproxy’s automation engine: SLA escalations, recurring work, inbound-email-to-job, PDF generation, reminders, webhooks.
Deploy AI on customer workspaces:
Command Center (ask and act on your data in plain English)
SMS, email and voice agents
AI extraction, summaries and scheduling
MCP connections to Claude, ChatGPT and Grok
Integrate with the systems customers already run: CRMs, accounting, helpdesks (Freshservice, Zoho), Shopify, Twilio, telematics, plus REST APIs and webhooks.
Migrate data off legacy systems cleanly: imports, date and format traps, deduplication, reconciliation.
Validate before anything goes live. Run our preflight and regression checks, test as real user roles, keep rollback versions, and never test against live customer data or send real emails or SMS from a build.
Present the solution to owners, ops managers and finance leads. Explain what the system does in plain language, record walkthrough videos, and keep the customer hub up to date.
Support live customers. Debug reported issues down to the root cause, fix them with a versioned change, and write up what happened.
Document what you build so the next build is faster: reusable kits, patterns and known traps.

What we’re looking for

Strong SQL and PostgreSQL. You read schemas fast, write correct joins and updates, and understand constraints, defaults, permissions and functions.
Comfortable with JSON and APIs. Nested configs, REST and webhooks, auth headers. You can read an error and know where to look.
AI-native working style. You already use Claude, Cursor or similar tools every day, and you check AI output instead of trusting it.
Systems thinking. You see that a status written on the technician’s phone has to appear on the office list, and that a rule firing at 2 a.m. needs a timezone guard.
Customer sense. You can sit with a fencing company or a facilities director, find the real problem, and push back on the wrong solution.
Clear communication, written and spoken, with technical and non-technical people across the US, UK, Canada, Australia/NZ and India.
Ownership. You ship, check your own work and close the loop with the customer without being chased.

Nice to have

Experience with field service, construction, facilities or trades operations
Experience with workflow automation (n8n, Zapier, Make) or LLM agents and tool calling
