About Engagetal

Engagetal Solutions builds technology that helps companies discover, assess, and hire engineering talent. Our work spans an AI-assisted hiring platform, developer assessment tools, and software products. We are looking for a curious early-career engineer to help build reliable features and grow through hands-on engineering work.

Who can apply

This role is open ONLY to freshers and candidates with less than 1 year (under 12 months) of professional work experience. Candidates with 1 year or more of experience are not eligible. No prior full-time work experience is required; academic, personal, internship, and open-source projects are welcome as evidence of your skills.

What you will do

• Help build and maintain features for our hiring platform and internal tools.
• Develop and integrate APIs, work with databases, and contribute to user-facing functionality.
• Write readable code, test your changes, investigate bugs, and document your work.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders.
• Learn to improve application reliability, performance, and security.

What we are looking for

• A foundation in programming, data structures, algorithms, and problem solving.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript or Python, plus basic web development concepts.
• An understanding of REST APIs, SQL or relational databases, and Git.
• At least one academic, personal, internship, or open-source project you can explain clearly.
• Clear communication, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and act on feedback.
• Ability to collaborate remotely from India.

Helpful, but not required

Exposure to Node.js, React/Next.js, PostgreSQL, automated testing, or cloud deployment. Interest in AI-enabled products and developer tools is welcome. You do not need to know every technology listed to apply.
