Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack Developer who can build secure, scalable, production-ready applications and work confidently across the software delivery lifecycle.

You will collaborate with product teams, architects, cloud and infrastructure teams, and clients, while using AI-assisted engineering to improve development speed, code quality, testing, refactoring, and documentation.

Full Stack Engineering

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into pragmatic software solutions.
  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and secure applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS on the front end, and Java and Spring Boot on the back end.
  • Build robust REST APIs and services, and contribute to microservices and API-driven architectures.
  • Work with relational databases such as SQL Server.
  • Contribute to solution design, architectural decisions, technical standards, troubleshooting, bug fixing, and application maintenance.AI-Assisted Development
  • Use generative AI in day-to-day engineering workflows for code generation, troubleshooting, refactoring, test creation, documentation, and optimization.
  • Apply hands-on experience with Gemini CLI or comparable AI coding tools, supported by effective prompt-engineering practices.
  • Evaluate AI-generated output using sound engineering judgement, with a strong focus on security, correctness, maintainability, and code review.Quality, Security & Production Readiness
  • Create and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests, and participate actively in peer code reviews.
  • Improve application reliability, maintainability, performance, and observability through engineering best practices.
  • Participate in incident analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate security considerations into development, containerization, CI/CD, and deployment processes.
  • Own changes throughout the application lifecycle, from development and validation to production release, following Go-to-Production governance.Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work in Agile teams using Scrum and/or Kanban.
  • Collaborate closely with product teams, developers, architects, infrastructure and cloud teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical topics clearly and challenge requirements constructively.
  • Help teams adopt sound DevOps and AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and engineering communities.
  • Represent Magellan professionally in client-facing discussions with a service-oriented mindset.Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4–8 years of professional experience in full stack software development, with exposure to production operations and DevOps practices.
  • Practical experience taking applications from code through build, deployment, and production release.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows; Gemini CLI experience is strongly preferred.

Core Technical Skills

Front-End Development

  • Strong Angular and TypeScript skills.
  • Good command of HTML and CSS.Back-End Development
  • Solid Java and Spring Boot expertise.
  • Experience developing enterprise APIs and services.Databases
  • Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
  • SQL Server experience is preferred.

Preferred DevOps & Cloud Skills

The following skills are valuable but not mandatory:

  • Git and GitLab, including practical experience with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application delivery.
  • Terraform and/or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
  • GCP and/or enterprise internal-cloud environments.
  • Monitoring, logging, observability, and automated testing practices.
  • Experience supporting or troubleshooting staging and production workloads.Additional Advantages
  • MongoDB or other non-relational database experience.
  • Exposure to microservices, API-driven architecture, and GitOps.
  • Awareness of application security and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Cloud or DevOps certification.
  • Advanced prompt-engineering capability for software development.
  • Prior consulting or direct client-facing experience.
