About the Role

You will own the product strategy and roadmap for BitDelta's wallets and payments stack: INR on-ramp and off-ramp (UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, bank transfers), crypto deposits and withdrawals, custody and wallet infrastructure, and the reconciliation and ledger systems that sit behind them. This role sits at the intersection of payments, compliance and trading, and directly drives conversion, funding success rates, and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end roadmap for fiat funding (banking partners, payment gateways, UPI/IMPS/NEFT flows) and crypto wallet flows (deposits, withdrawals, whitelisting, network and chain support).
• Define and track KPIs such as deposit and withdrawal success rate, time to credit, failure and drop-off rates, payout turnaround time, and cost per transaction.
• Work with engineering, security and operations on custody architecture, hot/cold wallet management, withdrawal limits and risk controls.
• Partner with Compliance and Risk to build KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, Travel Rule and FIU reporting requirements into product flows from the start, and keep the product aligned with PMLA and VDA regulations, including applicable tax deduction requirements.
• Manage banking, payment gateway and liquidity/custody partner relationships from a product standpoint: onboarding, integrations, SLAs and escalations.
• Write clear PRDs, user stories, flow diagrams and acceptance criteria; run sprint planning and prioritize the backlog with engineering.
• Work with Design to deliver simple, trustworthy funding and withdrawal experiences on app and web.
• Handle escalations and incident response for payment failures, stuck transactions and reconciliation breaks, and drive root-cause fixes.
• Use data and user feedback (support tickets, funnel analytics, customer calls) to find gaps and run experiments.
• Track the competitive landscape across Indian crypto exchanges, brokers and fintech payment players.

Required Qualifications

• 4-6 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years on payments, wallets, banking rails or risk products.
• Strong understanding of Indian payment systems (UPI, IMPS, NEFT/RTGS), payment gateways and bank integrations.
• Comfortable writing technical PRDs and working with APIs, webhooks, ledgers and reconciliation concepts.
• Strong analytical skills (SQL / analytics tools) and a track record of improving funnel or success-rate metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management across engineering, compliance, finance, operations and external partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a crypto exchange, crypto wallet or custody product, or a regulated fintech (payments, lending, broking).
• Good to have: exposure to equity or crypto trading products, and an understanding of order flow, margin and settlement.
• Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals (networks, confirmations, gas/fees, address screening, on-chain analytics tools).
• Experience working in a regulated environment (RBI, SEBI or FIU-IND).
