Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will work with large datasets to extract valuable insights, design and refine machine learning models, and contribute to data-driven solutions in insurance technology. Responsibilities include conducting advanced data analysis, creating data visualization dashboards, developing predictive analytics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to inform product and business decisions. The Data Scientist will also assess the efficacy of data models and recommend enhancements to improve performance.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager – Accounts to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure compliance, and support month-end/year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on with ERP systems and has strong working knowledge of Excel.

Experience: 3–4 years

Qualification: B.Com; CA Intermediate / CA Final (pursuing or completed)

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliation, and collections follow-up
  • Handle general ledger entries, journal vouchers, and month-end/year-end closing activities
  • Prepare and review MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports
  • Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
  • Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, PF/ESI as applicable) and coordinate with auditors for statutory/internal audits
  • Maintain and update financial records in the ERP system (Netsuite / SAP / Sage or similar)
  • Support budgeting, variance analysis, and cost control initiatives
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (vendors, auditors, banks) for smooth financial operations
  • Assist in process improvement and automation of accounting workflowsRequired Skills & Competencies
  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in core accounting/finance functions
  • B.Com graduate; CA Intermediate or CA Final (candidates who have attempted/cleared groups preferred)
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, data analysis)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems — Netsuite, SAP, Sage, or similar accounting software
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills for stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities/deadlinesGood to Have
  • Exposure to statutory/internal audit processes
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-currency accounting environment
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced or growth-stage organization
