Job Description:
- The Project Manager - Pre-Sales Strategy, Governance & Transformation - is responsible for providing leadership, governance, planning, and oversight across Pricing and Contracting functions.
- This role focuses on driving operational excellence, performance management, reporting, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, workforce management, and transformation initiatives.
- The position does not perform day-to-day pricing or contracting activities.
- Instead, it acts as the strategic coordinator and owner of business outcomes, ensuring timely delivery, compliance with service commitments, resource optimization, and continuous process improvement across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Governance & Project Management:
- Manage and monitor all Pricing and Contracting deliverables against agreed timelines, quality standards, and business requirements.
- Maintain governance mechanisms to ensure adherence to SLAs, process controls, and operational objectives.
- Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items across multiple initiatives.
- Provide leadership visibility into project performance, escalations, and potential delivery risks.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among AT&T, VOS, Pricing, Contracting and Operations teams.
Reporting & Business Analytics:
- Develop and publish weekly, monthly, quarterly, and executive-level business reports and dashboards especially on RCAs and SLA breaches.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs), SLAs, cycle times, workloads, productivity, and forecast trends.
- Present performance insights, operational risks, and improvement recommendations to leadership.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across business reporting platforms.
Service Delivery Oversight:
- Monitor adherence to contractual and operational service commitments.
- Identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Lead governance reviews for projects experiencing delays, quality issues, or operational challenges.
- Ensure proper documentation and closure of delivery-related issues.
Root Cause Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for SLA breaches, customer escalations, operational fallout, and process failures.
- Identify recurring issues and develop preventive action plans.
- Monitor effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Workforce & Personnel Management:
- Support employee engagement including hiring, morale, and overall team wellbeing.
- Addresses are non-business concerns impacting employee productivity and satisfaction.
- Facilitate career development discussions and development planning.
- Monitor workforce utilization, capacity planning, staffing requirements, and workload distribution.
- Foster a high-performance and collaborative team environment.
Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary governance contact for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Manage communication, status updates, risk reporting, and escalation management.
- Ensure alignment between business priorities and team execution.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Automation & Transformation Leadership:
- Identify, prioritize, and sponsor automation opportunities across Pricing and Contracting functions.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance customer experience.
- Track transformation benefits, ROI, and implementation progress.
- Partner with technology teams to define business requirements and oversee solution deployment.
Process Excellence & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with established business processes, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain process documentation, operating procedures, and knowledge repositories.
- Identify process optimization opportunities to improve productivity and cycle times.
- Support audit readiness and operational compliance activities.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management or Operations.
- 8+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Management, Operations Management, Sales Support, Pricing, Contracting, or related functions.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience with CSP/TSP i.e. Communication Service Provider/ Telecom Service Provider.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or reporting tools expertise.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional business initiatives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Proven experience in executive reporting, business analytics, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of SLA management, governance frameworks, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience leading Pricing, Contract and Operational transformation and automation initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Optional Skills:
- Project Management certifications optional, if available (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent).
- Experience with CRM, Contract Management, or Pricing platforms.
