Role Overview
We are looking for a Software Developer who can take ownership of features from development through deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will work across the full stack, from React interfaces to APIs in ASP.NET Core (C#) and Node.js (TypeScript), backed by PostgreSQL, on an ERP where every number must be right. Part of our platform runs on an established .NET codebase, and newer services are written in TypeScript, so you will work in both.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain features end to end: database, API, user interface and tests
- Build and consume RESTful APIs in ASP.NET Core Web API and Node.js (TypeScript), including third-party integrations
- Maintain and extend our existing .NET codebase alongside newer TypeScript services
- Develop core ERP functionality including stock, costing, approvals and GST, where accuracy is critical
- Implement secure authentication and authorization (JWT, role-based access control) and ensure strict data separation between customers
- Build responsive interfaces that work well on both mobile and desktop
- Debug, optimize and improve the performance of applications and databases
- Deploy and maintain applications on Linux VPS environments
- Review code, including AI-generated code, and catch defects early
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of C# and professional experience with .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
- Strong experience building RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core Web API
- Good experience with React.js
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and working experience with TypeScript
- Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL: transactions, indexes and migrations
- Experience with Entity Framework Core
- Experience with Git/GitHub or other version control systems
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization, including JWT and role-based access control
- Experience writing automated tests (unit and API)
- Good understanding of application security and data protection
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Experience with VPS deployment, SSH, Nginx and SSL/HTTPS
- Understanding of why monetary values should use decimal types and never floating-point numbers
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience on ERP, CRM, accounting, inventory or business management software
- Knowledge of GST, or experience with Tally, Zoho, Odoo or any other ERP
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS products
- Experience with Node.js backends (Fastify, Express or NestJS)
- Experience with database optimization and performance improvement
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Experience with Excel/PDF report generation
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD
- Experience with server monitoring, backup and deployment
- Understanding of scalable and maintainable software architecture
