PeopleSoft Developer
About The Role
#JLLTechAmbitions
JLL, an international real estate management company, is looking for PeopleSoft Developers to join our JLL Technology Engineering organization. You will work on mission-critical financial systems, combining hands-on PeopleSoft development with analysis of business needs, root-cause work on production issues, and delivery of enhancements through the full change lifecycle.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment, enjoys solving business problems through creative thinking, and brings a “Get it done” attitude with a “Think ahead” mentality. You should be comfortable working independently and with a distributed team, and able to lead by example.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance: design, code, and unit test customizations and enhancements to JLL’s PeopleSoft Financials modules using PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, SQR, and SQL.
- Resolve production issues: analyze incidents and batch failures, determine root cause, deliver fixes, and move solutions through the change lifecycle. Document recurring failures as SOPs and known-error articles.
- Translate requirements: work with finance users and functional analysts to turn business needs into functional and technical specifications, and articulate requirements in enough detail for thorough testing.
- Build and support integrations: develop and maintain interfaces with upstream and downstream systems using Integration Broker, file layouts, and Component Interfaces, and monitor interface and batch process flows.
- Reporting: build and maintain BI Publisher reports, PS Queries, and SQRs for finance, audit, and operational needs.
- Upgrades and infrastructure: take part in PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and PeopleTools upgrades, including keep/drop analysis, compare-report review, and retrofit of customizations, and support PeopleSoft environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Testing and quality: prepare test cases, run unit and system integration testing, coordinate user acceptance testing, and track defects to closure.
- Improve and optimize: identify performance improvements and automation opportunities, evaluate user interface enhancements, and drive change that reduces manual effort.
- Document and enable: maintain technical documentation, training material, and job aids, and consult with the business on correct use and interpretation of PeopleSoft functionality.
- Collaborate and mentor: participate in global and regional enhancement and implementation projects, and share knowledge with and guide junior team members.
