Senior Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend systems and APIs. You will work closely with Product, Frontend, Mobile, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, high-performance applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Build and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs
• Design and maintain database schemas and data models
• Develop event-driven and serverless applications
• Integrate with third-party APIs and enterprise systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Requirements

• 5–8 years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.)
• Strong understanding of database design, security, and performance optimization
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred: Experience with AWS AppSync, Serverless Architecture, Event-Driven Systems, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform or AWS CDK, and building enterprise SaaS platforms
