Karta builds voice AI agents for enterprise fintech companies in India. Our agents handlereal customer conversations at scale, in the languages Indian customers actually speak.

We are a small, senior team based in Bengaluru, and we are growing. Karta is thecommercial brand of Dreamzest Technologies Private Limited.

The role

You will be Karta's first data hire, reporting directly to the founders. Your job is to build ourdata function from zero and make the company run on numbers.

What you'll do

• Build the data foundation
• Bring data from our product database, call logs, CRM, and finance tools into onewarehouse.
• Set up pipelines, data models, and a BI layer that the whole team can use.
• Define a single source of truth for every core metric, with clear definitions.

Product and call analytics

• Track voice agent performance: call volumes, resolution rates, call duration, drop-offs,escalations, and conversation quality.
• Find patterns in call outcomes by client, use case, language, and flow, and turn theminto recommendations for the product and engineering teams.
• Measure the impact of agent and model changes over time.

Business and finance metrics

• Build dashboards for revenue, client usage, unit economics (cost and margin per call),and pipeline.
• Own financial models, budgets, and forecasts with the founders.
• Prepare board and investor reporting.
• Turn analytics into product
• Work with the product team to turn internal dashboards and insights into client-facinganalytics features.
• Build client ROI and performance reports that support sales and renewals.

What we're looking for

• 3–6 years in analytics at a startup or fast-growing tech company.
• Strong SQL and Python; comfortable writing production-quality queries and scripts.
• Has built dashboards, metric definitions, and data models from scratch, not justmaintained them.
• Solid grasp of business and finance basics: unit economics, P&L, cohort and funnelanalysis.
• Can turn messy data into a clear recommendation and explain it to non-technicalpeople.
• High ownership: comfortable being the only data person and deciding what to buildfirst.

Nice to have

• Experience with a modern data stack (e.g., BigQuery or Postgres, dbt, Metabase orSuperset).
• Experience with Product or Business analysis.
• Experience building customer-facing analytics or embedded dashboards.
• Exposure to financial modelling and investor reporting.
