Job Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer

The Purpose of Your Role

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and deployment of full-stack applications that support RISK analytics, modeling, and risk batch workflows. You will work closely with product managers, quant analysts, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions that are cloud-ready, modular, and maintainable.

The Value You Deliver

  • Developing and maintaining backend services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Django, with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Building and supporting data access solutions for Oracle databases, including SQL development, query optimization, and data integrity validation.
  • Implementing and supporting enterprise authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2 and SSO to enable secure application access.
  • Utilizing modern development tools such as JupyterLab, VS Code Server, JetBrains IDEs, and GitHub Copilot to improve development efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborating effectively within Agile Scrum teams by participating in sprint planning, development, testing, code reviews, and retrospectives while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Skills That Are Key To This Role

  • Languages: Strong proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of TypeScript and SQL.
  • Frameworks: Experience developing applications and REST APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Data Access: Experience working with Oracle databases, SQL development, and data integration solutions.
  • Version Control: Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise, source control practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Authentication: Working knowledge of OAuth2, SSO, and secure application authentication concepts.
  • Developer Tools: Experience using development tools such as JupyterLab, VS Code Server, JetBrains IDEs, and GitHub Copilot.

The Skills that are Good to Have for this role

  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems and event-driven application architectures.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and exposure to tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of financial services, asset management, or Investment Risk platforms and analytics would be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
