Manager / Associate Director – Business Consulting (Non GCC)

Location: Mumbai

Experience: Manager (5-8 Years) | Associate Director (10-12 Years)

Role Overview

We are seeking experienced consulting professionals to drive large-scale business transformation initiatives across the Banking and Financial Services sector. The role will focus on solving strategic business challenges, improving profitability, enhancing sales effectiveness, designing operating models, and leading business-side transformation programs for leading Indian Banks and NBFCs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Management Consulting (Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Big 4 Consulting, or leading BFSI consulting firms) and experience working closely with business stakeholders rather than in technology development roles.

Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

  • Lead market entry, growth strategy, and Go-To-Market (GTM) engagements for Banking and NBFC clients.
  • Develop business cases and strategic roadmaps for profitable growth across lending, liabilities, affordable housing, gold loans, MSME, and retail banking segments.
  • Assess market opportunities, customer segments, competitive positioning, and revenue growth levers.Sales Effectiveness & Distribution Transformation
  • Drive sales effectiveness programs across branch banking, contact centers, digital sales, and relationship management channels.
  • Design initiatives to improve lead conversion, productivity, cross-sell, customer acquisition, and channel performance.
  • Develop performance management frameworks and sales operating models.Business Transformation
  • Lead business-side transformation programs involving process reengineering, operating model redesign, and digital transformation.
  • Work with business leaders to define requirements and translate business objectives into technology-enabled solutions.
  • Drive transformation initiatives across lending, onboarding, collections, customer servicing, and risk functions.Operating Model & Productivity Enhancement
  • Design target operating models and organizational structures for banking and NBFC clients.
  • Lead cost optimization, productivity improvement, and profitability enhancement initiatives.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI, analytics, and data-driven decision-making to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.Stakeholder Management
  • Engage CXOs, Business Heads, Product Heads, and Transformation Leaders to define and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Manage consulting workstreams, client relationships, project governance, and executive presentations.
  • Mentor junior consulting team members and contribute to practice development.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with Accenture Strategy & Consulting, Big 4 Consulting, Infosys Consulting, Capco, Cognizant Consulting, Kearney, Oliver Wyman, EY-Parthenon, or similar consulting firms.
  • Strong exposure to Indian Banking and NBFC transformation programs.

  • Experience working on the business side of transformation programs.
  • Product Managers, Business Transformation Leads, Strategy Leads, and Consulting Managers are preferred.
  • Candidates with predominantly development, product engineering, or software implementation backgrounds will not be prioritized.
