Role: Senior Data Analyst

Relevant Experience: 2 - 4 Years

Location: Bangalore

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience in data analytics and data science.

Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, QlikView and Data Studio.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Sound understanding of big data management.

Working familiarity with GenAI/LLM tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) for analysis, SQL generation and automation.

Your Impact at Tally

Data Management:

Defines data quality standards.

Brings exceptional attention to detail to ensure zero errors.

Cleans data regularly and works towards eliminating manual data-cleaning effort.

Archives and manages data for future retrieval.

Develops and maintains data formats.

Applies data techniques and algorithms to achieve the desired results.

Business Intelligence & Analytics:

Independently builds periodic reports and dashboards, and shares timely insights with all relevant stakeholders.

Understands organizational and project goals, and rigorously collates primary and secondary data.

Tools & Programming:

Working knowledge of query languages and databases (MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB) for data extraction, and of advanced Excel. Hands-on experience in Python and R.

Data Engineering:

Designs, builds and integrates data from multiple sources, and manages big data.

Writes complex queries and ensures data is easily accessible and runs smoothly.

Diagnostic Analyses/Problem Solving:

Proactively identifies potential issues and causes of failure through study and research.

Applied AI & AI Applications:

Uses AI-assisted tools to speed up SQL writing, data exploration, documentation and reporting, while checking outputs for accuracy.

Builds simple AI applications for summarisation, classification, text analytics and plain-language querying of business data.

Uses prompt engineering and Python/API automation to handle repetitive analytics tasks.

Uses AI responsibly, following data privacy, security and governance guidelines.
