Blockchain Engineer (DevRel)

We are looking for a skilled Blockchain Engineer with strong backend development experience and hands-on knowledge of blockchain and Web3 technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience working with EVM-based networks, backend systems, smart contracts, and blockchain integrations.

You will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, blockchain integrations, smart contracts, and infrastructure while collaborating with internal and external engineering teams. The role also includes Developer Relations (DevRel) responsibilities, involving engagement with Web3 developers, protocols, infrastructure providers, and technical communities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable backend modules and services that interact with multiple systems.
• Design and build blockchain based backend systems, primarily across Ethereum and Solana ecosystems.
• Write, test, and deploy Solidity smart contracts on EVM compatible blockchains and build Node.js services that interact with them.
• Read blockchain data and submit on chain transactions while ensuring reliability and minimizing transaction failures, particularly on Solana.
• Develop APIs, cron services, background jobs, and queues using Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB to build reliable and scalable data systems.
• Deploy and manage backend services using AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes across staging and production environments.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams to integrate backend APIs and Web3 functionality into applications.
• Build relationships with Web3 developers, protocols, infrastructure providers, blockchain projects, and technical communities as part of DevRel initiatives.
• Represent the company in technical discussions, developer communities, ecosystem events, and partner conversations to identify integration and collaboration opportunities.
• Work with external engineering and BD teams to understand technical requirements, coordinate integrations, and support technical partnerships.

Requirements:

• Need experience in blockchain development, with experience working across EVM compatible networks.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js.
• Proficiency in Solidity and experience developing and deploying smart contracts on EVM blockchains.
• Practical experience working with Solana, including reading program data and creating on chain transactions.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB or similar SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience deploying backend applications using AWS or GCP and managing production and staging environments.
• Hands on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment.
• Understanding of system design, software architecture, scalability, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills, with the ability to use AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude effectively.
• Strong communication skills and an interest in Developer Relations and the Web3 ecosystem.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience working on blockchain/Web3 projects.
• Hands on experience with Web3.js, viem, or other blockchain development libraries.
• Previous DevRel, developer advocacy, technical community, or ecosystem development experience.
• Experience working with Web3 protocols, infrastructure providers, or blockchain startups.
• Experience creating technical documentation, developer focused content, conducting workshops, or participating in technical events.
• Existing relationships within Web3 developer communities and ecosystems.
