AI Engineer

We’re looking for an AI Engineer with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience to take significant

ownership of the agentic workflows and LLM infrastructure powering our consumer and clinical

applications. This is a highly hands-on role for someone with strong experience building agents,

running rigorous evaluations and handling complex health data. You’ll work closely with

Product, Design, and Backend engineering teams to integrate robust AI capabilities that directly

impact patient outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who can take initiative, proactively explore areas to build and

improve: someone comfortable taking a feature from design -> technical approach -> build ->

test -> evaluate -> iterate.

The ideal candidate must have worked hands-on in a product company, building and scaling

multi-client agentic systems in a SaaS environment.

Experience deeply understanding and managing AI performance metrics is critical.

Must have

● Product company experience: You have a proven track record working directly for a

product company rather than an agency or services firm, bringing a strong product

mindset and deep feature ownership.

● Expertise in building agents: Strong hands-on experience designing, prompting, and

managing autonomous or semi-autonomous AI agents in production environments.

● Mastery of AI evaluation frameworks: You are highly experienced in setting up and

running rigorous LLM evals (e.g., using golden datasets, LLM-as-a-judge) to balance

cost, efficacy, tone, and quality.

● Health data proficiency: Prior experience safely navigating, processing, and leveraging

sensitive health data in software products.

● SaaS architecture familiarity: Deep understanding of how to iterate and manage features

in a multi-tenant SaaS ecosystem.

● Global team collaboration: Experience working effectively with distributed, international

teams, maintaining strong communication and alignment across multiple time zones.

● Strong product instinct: You think beyond whether a feature technically works and care

about whether it is intuitive, fast and useful to the person using it.

● High ownership and independence: You are comfortable working in a small team and

remotely, making good technical decisions and taking responsibility for getting things

shipped.

delivering innovation and customer satisfaction

Roles & Responsibilities

● Build and evolve the Genie mobile app: Develop new features and experiences in React Native

across iOS and Android.

● Create and scale exceptional consumer experiences: Translate product and Figma designs

into polished, responsive and intuitive interfaces with strong attention to detail.

● Build and manage native integrations: Work with Apple HealthKit, Health Connect, wearables

and other mobile capabilities including push notifications, deep links, authentication,

permissions and background sync at scale

● Build AI-powered experiences: Develop conversational and personalised experiences around

Ask Genie, health insights and coaching, including streaming responses, dynamic UI and

thoughtful loading/error states.

● Own features end-to-end: Work directly with Product, Design and Backend from requirements

and technical design through implementation, testing and production.

● Improve mobile architecture and quality: Contribute to state management, API integration,

caching, secure local storage, performance, testing, observability and error handling.

● Own mobile releases & QA: Manage builds, CI/CD, App Store and Google Play releases, crash

monitoring and production issues.

● Build with AI: Use modern AI development tools to improve engineering speed and quality

while maintaining strong engineering standards.
