Senior Developer - CFAPI (Cloud Files API)

Summary: We need a CFAPI specialist, not a general Windows or C# developer.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CFAPI-based sync clients in C# and Windows APIs
• Implement Sync Root registration, placeholders, hydration/dehydration, pin/unpin, sync states, and fetch-data/fetch-placeholders callbacks
• Integrate with cloud storage and backend services
• Handle async operations, concurrency, cancellation and error handling
• Troubleshoot sync failures, file locks, hydration and connectivity issues
• Optimize performance and reliability, and take part in design, code reviews, testing and production support

Must-Have Skills

• 7 - 8+ years in software development
• Hands-on CFAPI expertise (CfRegisterSyncRoot, CfConnectSyncRoot, CfCreatePlaceholders, CfExecute, CfHydratePlaceholder, CfDehydratePlaceholder, CfSetPinState, CfSetInSyncState)
• Proven experience building cloud drive or file sync solutions
• Strong C#, P/Invoke and interop
• Solid understanding of Windows and NTFS file-system concepts
• Strong async programming, multithreading and debugging skills

• OneDrive-like app experience
• Windows Shell integration
• Reparse points, file handles and locking
• Windows Services, REST APIs and cloud storage platforms
• C++/Win32, WinDbg and Visual Studio debugging
• Large-scale Windows client applications
