Data Scientist – GenAI/LLM | 5+ Years | Onsite | Bangalore
Our client is seeking an experienced Data Scientist with hands-on experience in Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to develop data-driven solutions, build predictive models, conduct statistical analysis and experimentation, and translate insights into measurable business value.. The role focuses on predictive modelling, statistical analysis, experimentation, Python, SQL, and Generative AI, with an emphasis on improving pricing, personalised recommendations, customer behaviour insights, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will translate data and model outputs into actionable business recommendations while promoting responsible and effective AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, validate, and deploy predictive models for pricing optimisation, personalised recommendations, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with data and software engineers to operationalise ML models and monitor their performance, adoption, and business value.
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in customer behaviour, booking patterns, and market trends.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Design, analyse, and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments, considering statistical significance, practical impact, bias, and limitations.
- Evaluate model performance and experimentation results, identify evidence gaps, and recommend appropriate next steps.
- Use AI tools responsibly across research, coding, analysis, documentation, testing, and communication.
- Lead data-related projects, manage competing priorities, and support the wider team in adopting secure and repeatable AI-enabled practices.
Required Skills
Machine Learning: Expertise in developing and deploying ML algorithms, including recommendation models.
Python: High proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.
Statistical Analysis & Experimentation: Experience applying statistical methods, testing hypotheses, designing and interpreting A/B tests, and distinguishing statistical significance from practical significance.
SQL & Databases: Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating relational data, along with an understanding of database concepts and data warehousing solutions.
Generative AI & LLMs: Working knowledge of Generative AI and LLMs, including their strengths, limitations, risks, and responsible use.
AI-Assisted Data Science: Practical experience using AI tools throughout the data science workflow, with the ability to verify outputs and maintain quality, privacy, and security.
Business Understanding: Ability to connect data analysis and model outputs to customer needs, commercial objectives, and operational decisions.
Nice-to-Have-Skills
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience presenting data insights through reports and dashboards.
- Experience working with customer behaviour, pricing, recommendations, or operational analytics.
