Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shopify & WordPress Developer with strong expertise in Shopify development, e-commerce solutions, custom themes, Shopify apps, API integrations, and website performance optimization.

The role will be primarily focused on Shopify development, including custom Shopify themes, Liquid, Shopify APIs, Storefront/Checkout functionality, apps, integrations, automation, and performance optimization. The WordPress development, including custom themes, plugins, APIs, and website maintenance.

The ideal candidate should have strong frontend and backend development skills and be capable of independently managing production websites, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Development – 70%

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus websites.
• Develop custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Shopify Theme Architecture.
• Build and customize product pages, collection pages, cart, checkout, navigation, filters, search, and promotional components.
• Develop custom functionality for discounts, promotions, bundles, subscriptions, product pricing, and e-commerce workflows.
• Work with Shopify APIs, Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, REST APIs, and Webhooks.
• Develop and maintain Shopify Apps and custom integrations using Node.js, Remix, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Build backend services and integrations connecting Shopify with CRM, ERP, payment gateways, shipping platforms, marketing tools, analytics platforms, and third-party services.
• Develop automation workflows using APIs, webhooks, Pabbly, Google Sheets, and other automation platforms.
• Implement custom cart, checkout, order, customer, inventory, pricing, and promotional workflows.
• Work with Shopify CLI, Git/GitHub, development stores, staging environments, and production deployments.
• Optimize Shopify stores for speed, scalability, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify theme, Liquid, JavaScript, API, app, checkout, and integration-related issues.
• Implement responsive and conversion-focused UI/UX improvements across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Monitor and resolve 404 errors, broken links, JavaScript errors, API failures, app conflicts, and performance issues.
• Ensure production websites are secure, stable, scalable, and optimized.

WordPress Development – 30%

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress websites and e-commerce solutions.
• Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, custom post types, shortcodes, and admin functionality.
• Work with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, REST API, and WordPress hooks/filters.
• Customize and extend WordPress using ACF, custom fields, Gutenberg, Elementor, and other relevant tools.
• Develop integrations between WordPress and third-party APIs, CRM systems, payment gateways, marketing platforms, and external services.
• Troubleshoot PHP, database, plugin, theme, server, API, and compatibility issues.
• Optimize WordPress websites for performance, security, SEO, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.
• Manage website updates, backups, security issues, plugin conflicts, broken functionality, and production issues.

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in Shopify development, with strong hands-on experience in production e-commerce websites.
• Good working experience in WordPress development.
• Strong expertise in Shopify Liquid, Shopify APIs, Webhooks, Shopify CLI, and theme development.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify apps, custom integrations, cart/checkout functionality, discounts, promotions, and e-commerce workflows.
• Experience with Node.js, Remix, PHP, REST APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins and themes.
• Strong understanding of frontend and backend development.
• Experience with payment gateways, shipping APIs, CRM/ERP integrations, marketing tools, analytics platforms, and automation systems.
• Strong understanding of website security, performance optimization, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience troubleshooting live production websites and resolving critical technical issues.
• Strong knowledge of Git/GitHub and development/production deployment workflows.
• Ability to independently analyze technical problems, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with business, design, marketing, and development teams.
