Associate Manager - Strategy and Operations

We are looking for an Associate Manager – Strategy & Operations to join our Business Operations team and help drive key business initiatives across user growth, engagement, monetization, and community operations.
You will work on identifying business opportunities, executing growth strategies, improving operational processes, and collaborating with Product, Growth, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to drive measurable business outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with hands-on execution, enjoys solving business problems, and is excited to take on responsibilities in a fast-paced startup environment. 💡
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- 📈 Drive business and operational initiatives focused on user growth, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- 👥 Manage and support community and business operations involving user-generated matchmakers, content creators, moderators, and other stakeholders.
- 🎯 Define team goals, track KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure progress against business targets.
- 🚀 Develop and execute strategies to improve the performance of matchmakers, content creators, moderators, and other community-led programs.
- 💰 Identify opportunities to improve monetization, user engagement, and overall business performance.
- 🤝 Work closely with the Product team to understand user needs, share insights, and execute initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and monetization.
- 📊 Build and improve operational processes, dashboards, tracking mechanisms, and performance metrics to improve efficiency and scalability.
- 🔍 Analyse business data and performance metrics to identify gaps, uncover opportunities, and recommend actionable solutions.
- 🌱 Identify and nurture high-potential micro-influencers and community leaders within the FRND ecosystem to drive matchmaking, virtual gifting, radio shows, and other engagement-led initiatives.
- 🧑 💼 Support team hiring, onboarding, training, and development as the function grows.
- 📱 Stay updated on social media, community, and consumer trends and translate relevant insights into actionable business initiatives.
✅ Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in Strategy, Business Operations, Growth, Consulting, Product Operations, or a similar role.
- 🎓 Graduate from a Tier 1 institute, preferably IIT, BITS, IIM, NIT, or other leading institutions.
- 👥 Experience in coordinating teams, managing stakeholders, or driving team-level initiatives is preferred.
- 📊 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
- 💼 Understanding of business metrics, operational processes, and performance tracking.
- 🗣️ Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- 🚀 Ability to take initiatives from problem identification to execution and measurable outcomes.
- 🤝 Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- 📈 Comfort working with data, dashboards, spreadsheets, and business metrics.
- ⭐ Experience in community-led businesses, consumer internet, social platforms, marketplaces, or similar businesses is a plus.
Note: The FRND team works 6 days a week, with 1st and 3rd Saturdays being working days.
