APIs Tech Specialist (API and Custom Plugins)

360 Automation AI is an OpenAI Select Partner. We deploy ChatGPT for small and mid-size businesses and build the workflow automations and custom apps around it. We are hiring a technical specialist in India to own the API side of that work.

What you will do

• Build API workflows and integrations that connect ChatGPT to client systems
• Build custom plugins (MCP apps) that ChatGPT agents and scheduled work call
• Handle hosting, OAuth and security for each build
• Embed OpenAI APIs into client custom environments, apps and platforms, and build custom client apps with the OpenAI API
• Set up governance for each build: API key management, access controls, usage limits and cost monitoring, logging, and data privacy and retention settings
• Write technical handoff docs for every client
• Work with the Delivery Lead (QA and sign-off) and the Operations Manager (training and team)

What we need

• Strong API fundamentals: REST, JSON, webhooks, OAuth
• Python or TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with the OpenAI API (function calling, structured outputs)
• Experience building and shipping custom apps or platform integrations that use APIs in production
• Understanding of API governance and security: key management, access control, rate limits, logging and data privacy
• Working experience with ChatGPT (GPTs, workspace agents) and other OpenAI products such as Codex
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Overlap with US Central hours for 4 hours a day

Terms

• Full-time contractor, fully remote
• Paid monthly in INR
• Path to Delivery Lead for strong performers
