As a Solution Architect, you will interact with business stakeholder & engineering team to solve problems and build, extend, optimize and refactor the architecture of our growing product portfolio in the Fintech domain. Airtel Africa Digital Labs (AADL) has a highly passionate engineering-driven environment where your contribution will have an impact.
- Provide product solutions, architectural and design guidance to projects to drive the vision of the FinTech products.
- End to end call flows from channel
- Own Technical components of one or more platforms in Fintech domain, including channels, (mobileApp/USSD).
- Propose design and architectural solutions and oversee implementation of the design approaches and business integration through all stages of system development.
- Evaluate the applicability of new technologies through proof-of-concept.
- Keep up-to-date on the latest developments in technology, security, best practices and industry standards
- Be subject matter expert and ensure alignment to overall architecture goals
- Collaborate with the product development & stakeholders by clearly articulating the target landscape and ensuring LLD compliance with HLD
- Ability to resolve on extraordinary issues at technical level
- Look patterns and evolve architecture for reusability and resilience.
- Use best practices to configure each product like Kafka, Redis, NoSQL database for performance and scalability.
- Design and own components of a highly scalable, distributed platform
- Own current Technical complexity, and define road map and Transition Architecture
- Own Tech debts
What will make you successful?
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer science or Information Technology with 12+ years of experience in a scalable product organization, experience in Fintech domain.
- End to end call flows for Mobile money applications.
- Experience in scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed channel agnostic platforms
- Highly Technical and Design Oriented
- An ability to plan for the future while solving for the present
- Good communication skills and flexibility oriented mindset
- Decisiveness and an execution driven mindset
What do you bring to the table?
- Excellent skills in JAVA
- Experience in Fintech domain
- Experience architecting microservices landscape and breaking monolithic into microservices
- Strong knowledge of Performance optimization and caching techniques.
- Well verse with Design patterns
- Excellent skills in any of Data streaming or queuing technologies (Kafka, RabitMQ etc)
- Well verse with Relational and Non – relational DB (Mongo DB, redis cache)
Tools & Technologies:
Out of many tools and technologies, we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, MongoDb, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka extensively for our back-end development
Critical Aspects about this role:
- High complexity but strong work in this team hence we need someone who is ok with managing multiple parallel projects.
- We need someone who should have worked on platform architect level.
- Preference is to get people already serving notice or early joiners.
