We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer with 8–12 years of software development experience and strong hands-on expertise in Angular, Python, FastAPI and Databricks within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing responsive web applications, secure and scalable REST APIs, and high-performance data-access services using Databricks SQL, Delta Lake and Unity Catalog. The engineer will work closely with business and technology stakeholders and contribute to the modernization of strategic Credit Risk platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Angular, Python, FastAPI, Databricks SQL and Delta Lake.
• Build responsive and reusable UI components using Angular, Kendo UI and PrimeNG
• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable and observable REST APIs and backend services using Python and FastAPI, including request validation, exception handling, dependency management, authentication and authorization, structured logging and API documentation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams and other developers in an Agile environment to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
• Develop efficient data-access solutions using Databricks SQL and Delta Lake, including complex SQL queries, reusable data-access components and optimized query patterns for interactive applications and APIs.
• Deploy and support Python/FastAPI services across Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and OpenShift environments, working with platform and DevOps teams to ensure secure, reliable and scalable application deployments.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and adherence to development standards.
• Participate in application design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Manage source code using Git and follow established branching, code-review and CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, provide L3 support, perform root cause analysis and support release activities.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in full stack development.
• Proficiency in Angular 16+ including component-based architecture, routing, services, forms, RxJS, and state management.
• Hands-on experience with Angular UI/supporting libraries such as Kendo UI for Angular and PrimeNG
• Strong hands-on backend development experience using Python and FastAPI, including object-oriented and modular programming, exception handling, logging, dependency management, and the design and development of secure, scalable and high-performance RESTful services.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Databricks SQL, SQL Warehouses, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and the integration of Python/FastAPI services with Databricks data products.
• Good understanding of SDLC, code review practices, debugging, testing, and deployment processes.
• Understanding of API security, including authentication, authorization, input validation and secure coding practices.
• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring and supporting Python/FastAPI applications on Azure App Service and container orchestration platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service and OpenShift
• Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with frontend and backend automated testing, including Python unit and API testing using pytest or an equivalent framework.

Preferred:

• Experience building Credit Risk applications and data platforms (wholesale credit risk, counterparty credit risk, risk data flows)
• Worked in Financial Services domain
