Applications are invited for a Research Associate-I (RA-I) position in the research group of Dr. Susmita Roy at IISER Kolkata.

The selected candidate will work at the interface of theoretical and computational biophysical chemistry, artificial intelligence, and molecular simulations, with access to dedicated GPU and high-performance computing resources.

Monthly fellowship

Research focus

Protein–nucleic acid interactions and molecular recognition.
AI-guided design of DNA-based antiviral candidates.
Molecular dynamics simulations and enhanced sampling.
Machine learning for protein and nucleic acid sequence–structure analysis.Who can apply?Candidates must hold a Ph.D. with demonstrated expertise in Computational Chemistry, Physics, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, or a closely related discipline.

Desirable expertise: Python and shell scripting; AI/ML frameworks and biological datasets; machine learning for biomolecular sequence–structure analysis; molecular dynamics and enhanced sampling techniques such as metadynamics, umbrella sampling, or replica exchange.
