Delta Technology Hub is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) – SharePoint, Azure Cloud & AI Solutions Engineering to design, develop, modernize, and support mission-critical Global Communications platforms and enterprise digital solutions. This role will be responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and innovative applications leveraging Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure Cloud, Power Platform, Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and Kiro-based AI development workflows.
As a senior member of the engineering organization, you will lead application architecture, software development, cloud modernization, AI integration, and technical delivery efforts while partnering closely with Quality Engineering teams to ensure high-quality releases for Global Communications business-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, cloud-native development, enterprise architecture, AI-enabled solutions, and modern DevOps practices
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Architecture
- Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications built on SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, and Power Platform.
- Lead full-stack software development efforts for mission-critical Global Communications platforms and digital experiences.
- Design scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable application architectures aligned with enterprise technology standards.
- Develop and maintain modern web applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native services.
- Build and support custom SharePoint Online solutions, SPFx applications, web parts, workflows, and Microsoft 365 integrations.
- Develop reusable components, frameworks, and services to accelerate delivery across enterprise platforms.
Azure Cloud & Enterprise Engineering
- Design and implement Azure-based solutions using App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Azure Storage, and event-driven architectures.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, microservices, enterprise integrations, and cloud-native applications.
- Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, availability, and resiliency requirements.
- Drive cloud modernization initiatives, legacy platform transformation, and technology simplification efforts.
- Collaborate with platform engineering and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud architecture and operational excellence.
AI, Copilot & Intelligent Solutions
- Design, develop, and implement AI-powered solutions using Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and intelligent automation technologies.
- Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions and enterprise knowledge-based AI applications.
- Develop AI-enabled workflows, conversational experiences, intelligent search capabilities, and productivity-enhancing tools.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify and implement high-impact AI use cases.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and establish reusable patterns for enterprise adoption.
Kiro & AI-Assisted Development
- Leverage Kiro AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate software delivery and improve engineering productivity.
- Utilize Kiro’s specification-driven approach to create requirements, technical designs, implementation plans, and automated development artifacts.
- Review, validate, and optimize AI-generated code to ensure enterprise architecture, security, and coding standards are met.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering teams to establish validation frameworks and quality gates for AI-generated solutions.
DevOps & Engineering Excellence
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and modern DevOps practices.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to ensure automated testing, quality validation, and release readiness.
- Drive engineering best practices including code reviews, technical standards, architecture governance, and secure coding.
- Monitor application health, reliability, and performance using modern observability and monitoring tools.
- Participate in production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Serve as a technical leader and mentor for development teams.
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Quality Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs and actionable development plans.
- Support Agile delivery teams through sprint planning, estimation, design reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps, modernization strategies, and future-state architecture planning
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-7 years of software development experience building enterprise applications and cloud-native solutions.
- Extensive experience developing solutions using SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and the Microsoft technology stack.
- Strong expertise with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Online development, Microsoft Graph, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Hands-on experience developing applications using .NET, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Storage, and Azure AD.
- Experience developing and deploying solutions using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native architecture patterns and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience building or integrating AI-enabled applications, Microsoft Copilot solutions, Azure OpenAI services, and intelligent automation workflows.
- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and enterprise AI architectures.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development platforms such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of software design patterns, application security, governance, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional engineering teams.
