Automation Tester ( Python)

We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer – Automation to join a small Agile/Scrum feature team comprising developers, testers, and other technical specialists. The role will be responsible for end-to-end testing activities, including test automation, test execution, defect management, test planning, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end testing activities, including test script development, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
- Design and develop test strategies, test plans, test conditions, test scripts, test data, and expected results.
- Perform functional, integration, technical, product, and deployment testing.
- Design and execute detailed functional test cases for complex business and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Python.
- Implement and maintain BDD automation frameworks using Python Behave.
- Perform automation testing for web applications, web services, and REST APIs.
- Collaborate with Test Managers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to identify test scenarios and requirements.
- Apply risk-based testing methodologies to identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks.
- Perform both manual and automated testing as required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, test optimization, and increased delivery efficiency.
- Ensure testing activities comply with established quality standards, tools, and frameworks.
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, and project stakeholders regarding testing progress, risks, defects, and quality metrics.
- Work proactively in ambiguous or changing environments and escalate risks/issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure quality deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Software Testing
- Strong experience with Python
- 4+ years of experience with Selenium and BDD automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience in QA Automation for Web Applications
- Experience testing Web Services and REST APIs
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Software Testing methodologies
- Experience in designing and executing manual and automated test cases
- Hands-on experience with Selenium + Python
- Experience with BDD and Python Behave
- Good understanding of test automation frameworks and quality engineering practices
