Engineering Manager – (Enterprise Pricing)

Job Title: Engineering Manager – (Enterprise Pricing)

Location: Bangalore, India

Type: Full-Time

Experience: 12–15 years of software engineering experience (including 5+ years of managerial leadership in Retail/ecommerce)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Core

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage Enterprise pricing application development teams responsible for enterprise-wide pricing services and applications.
• Provide strong leadership, coaching, mentorship, and performance management for engineers and direct reports.
• Drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions to support modernization of pricing platform.
• Partner closely with IT, product, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver features and enhancements on time and with high quality.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices through code reviews, standards, and architectural guidance.
• Champion cloud-first application development strategies, with preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments.
• Promote Agile development practices, DevOps principles, CI/CD automation, and modern engineering methodologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure, security, QA, product, and business teams to align technology delivery with enterprise and business goals.
• Maintain strong involvement in technical decision-making while building team capability, succession planning, and long-term organizational strength.
• Support production issue resolution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement efforts across the pricing application portfolio.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience leading application development teams in a retail/ecommerce pricing and supply chain.
• Strong expertise in application architecture, software design, and modern development practices for enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong hands on experience on leading solutions with Java and web technologies like Java, Spring boot, PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Kubernetes, API Gateway.
• Strong understand and experience on microservices and event driven architecture design concepts.
• Experience delivering solutions in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Deep understanding of scalability, security, performance, system reliability, and maintainability for enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile delivery models, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps-enabled software development practices.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to establish targets, drive improvement plans, manage priorities, and deliver results.
• Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, conflict resolution, and mediation skills.
• Ability to assess and maintain high standards for application structure, design, coding quality, and technical documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members in a collaborative team environment.
