As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise-scale data and performance management solutions. Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams, you will leverage Snowflake, Alteryx, and Jedox to deliver scalable data platforms, automated workflows, and advanced analytics solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across Siemens Energy.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines and analytics solutions using Snowflake, Alteryx, and Jedox.
  • Build and optimize data models, data marts, and reporting datasets to support planning, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational analytics.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and transformation workflows for high-performance data processing.
  • Configure and administer Snowflake environments, including databases, schemas, virtual warehouses, security roles, and data-sharing capabilities.
  • Develop and enhance Alteryx workflows to automate data preparation, transformation, validation, and reporting processes.
  • Design, implement, and support Jedox planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and dashboard solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and ensure service-level commitments are met.
  • Participate in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, estimation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and best practices across the enterprise data and analytics ecosystem.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing across global teams.

What You Bring

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • 12+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Data Warehousing, or Enterprise Data Management.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Proven experience developing and supporting Alteryx workflows and data automation processes.
  • Strong experience implementing and supporting Jedox planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions.
  • Experience working with large-scale enterprise datasets and business-critical applications.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams and supporting international business users.

  • Knowledge of enterprise planning and performance management processes.
  • Snowflake, Alteryx, or Jedox certifications are considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience within Energy, Manufacturing, Engineering, Utilities, or Corporate Functions environments.
  • Understanding of modern cloud-based data architectures and analytics platforms.
