We’re looking for highly skilled Open-Source Software Engineers to contribute to an AI training project focused on challenging real-world software engineering tasks.
You’ll work with unfamiliar repositories, debug complex issues, implement features, evaluate code, and help improve AI systems’ ability to understand and write production-quality software.
What You'll Work On
- Explore and understand unfamiliar open-source repositories
- Implement and debug front-end and back-end components
- Trace execution and data flow across APIs, services, libraries, databases, and dependencies
- Reproduce bugs and identify root causes
- Implement solutions that fit an existing codebase and architecture
- Write unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end tests
- Review AI-generated code for correctness, security, maintainability, and completeness
- Translate complete coding implementations from one programming language to anotherWho We're Looking ForYou should have strong real-world software engineering experience and a verifiable track record in open source.
Required:
- Public or otherwise verifiable GitHub profile
- Meaningful contributions to or ownership of open-source repositories
- Strong experience in front-end, back-end, full-stack, systems, infrastructure, developer tooling, or related engineering
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages
- Ability to quickly understand and modify unfamiliar codebasesRelevant languages include:
Python, Java, Rust, C++, TypeScript, Go, JavaScript, C#, Ruby, PHP, and others.
Open-Source Experience MattersWe’re particularly interested in engineers who maintain repositories or have made substantial contributions to established open-source projects.
Your contributions should demonstrate genuine engineering work—not just documentation edits, dependency updates, formatting changes, or minor fixes.
