JOB SUMMARY:

The MTA Senior Product Analyst II provides business analysis, planning, transformation, and delivery support to US-based GIS stakeholders and globally distributed technology teams. The role studies business objectives, stakeholder needs, operating processes, and technology requirements; documents clear, actionable requirements; and supports delivery of cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management initiatives.

Success in this role requires the ability to analyze complex information, translate business needs into well-defined requirements, communicate findings in an actionable manner, and coordinate multiple priorities across time zones. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and effective in a global delivery model, with the judgment to work independently while escalating risks, dependencies, and decisions appropriately.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree, equivalent experience, and/or relevant professional certification.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT business analysis, requirements management, process improvement, project coordination, organizational change, strategic communications, performance management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Experience developing process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability documentation, status reports, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective planning, organization, time management, and timely follow-through.
  • Project coordination skills, including maintaining milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and action items and proactively escalating roadblocks.
  • Excellent data gathering, analysis, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Microsoft Office – PowerPoint and excel. Documentation, high level interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Business Analysis, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PMP, or related certification.
  • Experience in information security, Identity & Access Management, IGA, RBAC, SailPoint, IT risk management, cybersecurity operations, or a similar technology environment.
  • Ability to place information security risks, requirements, and delivery impacts in the proper business context and communicate the business relevance to decision makers.
  • Experience supporting Program Increment planning, governance, product backlogs, release readiness, and cross-team dependency management.
  • Experience collaborating with US-based stakeholders and India-based delivery teams, including reasonable overlap with US Eastern Time business hours.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES:

  • Elicits, analyses, documents, validates, and manages business, functional, and non-functional requirements for GIS initiatives.
  • Develops process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability documentation, business rules, and clear success measures.
  • Collects, validates, and analyses delivery and performance data; identifies trends, risks, systemic issues, and data-quality gaps.
  • Creates dashboards, reports, presentations, decision summaries, and executive-ready materials for project, governance, and leadership meetings.
  • Partners with Product Owners, Program Leaders, technical leads, engineers, testers, and business stakeholders to clarify needs and support delivery decisions.
  • Supports PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint readiness, release readiness, and cross-team dependency coordination.
  • Maintains visibility into milestones, requirements, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, action items, and resource considerations.
  • Analyzes system functionality and business processes, identifies gaps, and recommends practical improvements.
  • Coordinates smaller workstreams or projects and supports timely handoffs and follow-up across US and MTA teams.
  • Composes and maintains requirements documents, operating procedures, process documentation, reports, correspondence, and meeting records.
  • Clearly communicates technical and information security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adapts to a fast-paced, ambiguous, and event-driven environment while maintaining accountability for assigned deliverables.

Maintaining Goals:

  • Submits requirements, reports, analysis, and requested materials in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Promotes accurate documentation of project progress, requirements, decisions, risks, and action items.
  • Provides input and assistance to other teams regarding analysis, reporting, planning, and delivery activities.

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies:

  • Manages and implements assigned analysis and project coordination activities in alignment with Marriott standards and team practices.
  • Generates accurate and timely results in the form of requirements, reports, presentations, dashboards, and process documentation.
  • Analyzes information and evaluates options to recommend practical solutions and resolve delivery problems.
  • Provides timely, accurate, and detailed status reporting as requested.

Demonstrating and Applying Discipline Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of business analysis, requirements management, process improvement, Agile delivery, and the technology delivery lifecycle.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with cybersecurity and Identity & Access Management concepts, tools, and governance expectations.
  • Keeps current on business analysis practices, relevant technologies, Marriott delivery standards, and applicable tools.
  • Uses computer systems and collaboration tools effectively to enter, track, analyze, and communicate information.
