Job Description

Senior Data Architect in AI/ML team will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve GEV commercial products and internal processes. Senior Lead Data Engineer will work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide technical leadership in technology and design. Collaborate with Software engineers to integrate AI/ML models into software solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and architect scalable and efficient software systems. Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of software applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in AI/ML and software engineering.
  • Contribute to the development of internal tools and processes to improve operational efficiency.

Engineering/Technology Practices

  • Support Senior & Principal Engineers to safeguard design qualities.
  • Maintain an active role in product introduction, cost improvements, schedule adherence and problem resolution to meet business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to software development methodologies, including Agile and the New Product Introduction (NPI) process. Maintain high standards of code quality and documentation. Implement best practices for software development and deployment.
  • Participate in the review and approval of technical designs and architectures and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices.

People Development

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment. Encourage continuous learning and development within the team.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Strong software engineering expertise, and ability to lead teams.
  • Experience with web technologies and version control system in industrial context
  • 8-12 years of deep technical experience in data engineering, having successfully transitioned into senior roles overseeing system architecture and operational excellence
  • Ability to work across organizations in a matrix environment.
  • Experience as Senior Engineer
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Experience with Python, Javascript, AWS. Experience with frameworks and libraries such as React, Numpy, Torch, Sanic, ...
