About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Node.js Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain reliable backend services. You’ll work with product, mobile, web, and QA teams to deliver scalable APIs and event-driven systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Build secure, scalable REST APIs and integrate them with internal and external systems.
• Work with MySQL to design schemas, write queries, and improve database performance.
• Use Redis for caching and other application needs.
• Build and support event-driven workflows using Kafka.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through development, testing, and release.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Practical experience with Redis.
• Experience working with Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Understanding of REST API design, authentication, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, and production support.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and performance optimization.
