Role Description This Senior Software Developer internship role at Infosys is a hybrid position based in the Pune Division, combining on-site work with some work-from-home flexibility. The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain back-end and full-stack software solutions that align with business requirements. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, participating in code reviews, debugging and resolving technical issues, and contributing to architecture and design discussions. The role also involves learning and applying best practices in software development, supporting integration and deployment activities, and assisting in performance optimization. The intern will be expected to follow agile processes, communicate progress clearly, and work closely with mentors and senior engineers to deliver high-quality software components.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Software Development and Back-End Web Development.
- Proficiency in Programming with at least one modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in real projects.
- Familiarity with databases, APIs, and version control systems (such as Git).
- Ability to analyze requirements, translate them into technical designs, and implement robust solutions.
- Effective communication skills, collaborative mindset, and ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Pursuing or having completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of agile or iterative development methodologies is beneficial.
