🚀 **We're Hiring: Climate Engineering Python Developer | Mumbai**

AgileEngine is looking for an experienced, hands-on **Python Developer** to work on an exciting project, contributing to next-generation applications and calculation platforms for its Sustainability & Climate Business.

📍 **Location:** Mumbai (Hybrid – Office attendance 2–3 days/week)

⚡ **Start Date:** ASAP

📅 **Notice Period:** 3 weeks maximum

🔥 **Key Skills Required**

  • 4+ years of strong hands-on experience in Python development
  • Proficiency in NumPy and Pandas for research-oriented calculations and data processing
  • Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask and RESTful API development
  • Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Hands-on experience with Azure or Google Cloud
  • Experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, or similar frameworks
  • Experience building cloud-based ETL pipelines, batch processing, and data integration workflows
  • Experience developing and managing cloud-based microservices
  • Understanding of unit testing frameworks such as PyTest/Unittest
  • Strong knowledge of Git, DevOps, and security best practices
  • Experience designing and developing data-driven applications
  • Experience maintaining legacy Python applications and handling production incidents

⭐ **Good to Have**

  • Domain knowledge of climate and sustainability products, including emissions, physical risk, and biodiversity
  • Experience with MSCI's climate and sustainability platforms
  • Exposure to AI/LLM-based solutions for business problems
  • Experience with open-source technologies
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Developing new functionalities for climate calculation platforms and next-generation applications
  • Building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications
  • Collaborating with Product, Research, Architecture, QA, and Data Operations teams
  • Maintaining and optimizing production applications
