About the Role

Zeno is building the solutions that powers our EV battery-swapping ecosystem — covering vehicle telemetry, swap station orchestration, wallet & payment transactions, and fleet partner management. We're looking for a Frontend Engineer to build and own the customer-facing mobile app and the web dashboards our riders, operations team, and fleet partners use every day — across Flutter on mobile and React/Next.js on the web.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the rider mobile app in Flutter (iOS and Android) — onboarding, KYC, wallet top-ups and payments, swap history, nearby station discovery, and vehicle status
• Build and maintain web applications in React/Next.js — operations consoles, swap transaction and station monitoring dashboards, fleet partner portals, and internal admin tools
• Translate product requirements and designs (Figma) into responsive, accessible, pixel-accurate interfaces across mobile and web
• Integrate with backend microservices through REST/GraphQL APIs and real-time channels (WebSockets/SSE) for live station, battery, and vehicle data
• Own state management, data fetching, caching, and offline behaviour so the app stays usable on patchy mobile networks
• Implement secure payment and wallet flows (UPI, cards, payment gateway SDKs) with correct handling of pending, failed, and retried transactions
• Build maps and location features — station discovery, slot availability, and directions — using Google Maps or Mapbox
• Set up and maintain a shared design system and component library for consistent UI across Flutter and React
• Own frontend performance — app startup time, bundle size, Core Web Vitals, rendering efficiency, and memory usage
• Write unit, widget, and end-to-end tests, and maintain frontend CI/CD pipelines including App Store and Play Store releases
• Integrate crash reporting, analytics, and feature flags (Firebase, Sentry, or similar) to monitor quality and product usage in production
• Collaborate with backend, DevOps, data, and product teams on API contracts, release planning, and production incident resolution

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend or mobile engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with React and Next.js (App Router, server components, SSR/SSG) and TypeScript
• Strong hands-on experience building and shipping production apps with Flutter and Dart on both iOS and Android
• Experience with state management patterns (Redux/Zustand/React Query on web; Riverpod/Bloc/Provider on Flutter)
• Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and web accessibility standards
• Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs and real-time data (WebSockets or similar)
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the App Store and Google Play, including signing, versioning, and release management
• Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright/Cypress, Flutter test/integration_test)
• Familiarity with Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
• Good understanding of frontend performance optimization and debugging tools on web and mobile
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with payment integrations (UPI, Razorpay, Stripe, or similar) and handling financial transactions in the UI
• Experience with maps and geolocation features (Google Maps, Mapbox) in mobile apps
• Exposure to IoT/telemetry products or real-time operational dashboards
• Experience with data visualization libraries (Recharts, D3, ECharts, fl_chart)
• Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) for platform channels and native SDK integrations
• Familiarity with AWS frontend hosting and services (Amplify, S3/CloudFront, Cognito)
• Background in EV, mobility, fintech, or logistics products
