Senior Manager-New Product Development
Job Summary/Role Purpose:
The Sr Manager - NPD is responsible for planning, developing, and leading manufacturing and product development process aligned with organizational goals.
The Role ensures effective implementation of development systems to achieve optimal output in terms of cost, quality, time, delivery and safety. The position requires strong cross functional coordination to maximize resource utilization and drive continuous improvement across development execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead APQP activities with the product development team for new product development and ensure timely sample submission.
- Prepare & review development feasibility studies and technical data for customers.
- Manage BOM (Bill of Materials), routing and process mapping for all parts.
- Coordinate and monitor preparation of drawings, BOP ( Bill of process), tooling and related documentation.
- Act as a primary interface with customers for new development projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Conduct daily/weekly review meetings with cross functional teams for project progress and scheduling.
- Ensure implementation of CAPA during development stages, especially for customer complaints.
- Drive customer complaint resolution in coordination with internal teams.
- Lead internal and external product trial runs and ensure readiness for production.
- Ensure timely submission of PPAP and smooth handover to the production team.
- Monitor project timeliness, risks and deliverable to ensure on time project completion.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives across development processes.
Level of Education & Experience required
Qualification: B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical
Experience: 10-12 Years
