Senior Data Scientist

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with strong hands-on expertise in Forecasting and/or Price Elasticity/Pricing Analytics. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in developing and implementing advanced statistical and machine learning models, solving complex business problems, and delivering data-driven analytical solutions with measurable business impact.

The candidate will be responsible for executing end-to-end data science projects, translating business requirements into analytical solutions, and driving improvements in forecasting accuracy, revenue growth, and pricing optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end forecasting and pricing analytics solutions, from problem definition and data exploration to model deployment and monitoring.
  • Develop statistical and machine learning models for demand forecasting, sales prediction, price elasticity, and pricing optimization.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques and predictive modelling to identify business trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to support demand planning, revenue forecasting, and data-driven business decisions.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective analytical solutions.
  • Evaluate model performance, improve prediction accuracy, and optimize existing forecasting and pricing models.
  • Drive measurable business outcomes, including improved forecast accuracy, revenue growth, margin optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure analytical solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on Data Science experience with mandatory expertise in Forecasting and/or Price Elasticity/Pricing Analytics.
  • Proven experience delivering 2-3 relevant forecasting and/or pricing analytics projects.
  • Strong expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning, predictive analytics, and quantitative problem-solving.
  • Hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, and relevant data science libraries.
  • Experience with forecasting methodologies, regression techniques, time-series analysis, and predictive modelling.
  • Understanding of price elasticity, price optimization, demand modelling, and revenue analytics.
  • Ability to independently handle complex analytical problems and deliver end-to-end data science solutions.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate direct technical contributions to projects and their measurable business impact.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in demand forecasting, demand planning, revenue management, price optimization, or commercial analytics.
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale data science solutions.
  • Exposure to cloud-based analytics platforms and model deployment environments.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across business, product, engineering, and analytics.
  • Ability to convert complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
