About the role

About the role Businesses come to us with practical questions: can software answer our customers' questions, read our documents, or take over a repetitive task? We need an engineer who can build these things so that they work reliably, not just in a demo. What you will do

• Build assistants and workflows that use large language models together with a client's own data, such as product catalogues, policies and documents.
• Design prompts, retrieval and guardrails so answers are grounded in real sources and the system admits when it does not know.
• Connect automations to business systems through APIs: CRMs, accounting tools, order systems, messaging.
• Add logging, evaluation and cost controls, so we can see what the system does and what it costs per use.
• Test with real examples, including awkward ones, and improve based on what fails.
• Explain limitations honestly to clients and help them choose where AI helps and where plain software is better. What good looks like
• A feature that answers correctly, cites its source and hands over to a person when it should.
• Costs and response times that stay predictable as usage grows.
• Clients who understand what the system can and cannot do. Requirements

Must have

• 2+ years of software engineering experience, with at least one project that uses an LLM API.
• Strong Python, PHP or TypeScript, and comfort with REST APIs and webhooks.
• Understanding of retrieval, embeddings and prompt design, and their limits.
• A habit of testing outputs systematically instead of trusting a few good examples.
• Good judgement about data privacy: what should and should not be sent to a model. Nice to have
• Experience with vector databases or search engines.
• Building evaluation sets and monitoring for model output quality.
• Workflow tools such as n8n or similar for business automation.
• Experience in e-commerce, support or operations settings.
