Job Description

The Software Engineer – Full Stack Developer on the NCR Voyix Insight Team is responsible for the technical design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise-scale applications supporting the Insight and SWIC platforms.

Insight is a cloud-based Big Data analytics platform that delivers business intelligence, reporting, and data insights to customers using Google Cloud technologies, while SWIC is a web-based application supporting operational and business workflows. This role requires expertise in full-stack application development, cloud-native technologies, data analytics, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications supporting the Insight and SWIC platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Quality Engineering, Architecture, and Operations, to define requirements and deliver business solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance, conducting code reviews, promoting engineering excellence, and fostering team growth.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, technology evaluations, and technical decisions, ensuring alignment with product and organizational strategy.
  • Participate and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Implement and promote software engineering best practices, including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, code quality, security, and observability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal application performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other intelligent engineering capabilities to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
  • Explore, evaluate, and implement AI-driven capabilities, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics solutions across the Insight and SWIC platforms.
  • Document technical designs, architecture decisions, implementation approaches, operational procedures, and system specifications clearly and concisely.
  • Support internal and external customers by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving application and production issues.
  • Contribute to cloud deployments and operational excellence initiatives utilizing Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Apigee.

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
  • Experience developing and supporting Big Data analytics and reporting applications.
  • Experience building highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud-native applications.
  • Knowledge of Looker and LookML for data modelling, dashboard development, and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud builds, Terraform, & Helm.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, or similar technologies.
  • Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and behaviors-driven development practices.
  • Experience working in analytics, retail technology, or enterprise software domains.
