OneStop ESG helps businesses make progress on sustainability. Our platform brings together a marketplace of sustainability solution providers, plus ESG news, resources, events and jobs. We build most of our technology in-house, including an AI-powered search engine.

The role is based in Chandigarh at our office.

The role

You'll work across our whole stack: the public website, internal admin tools, backend APIs, and the AI systems behind search and content. One week you might ship a new page, the next you might improve search ranking or tighten up caching. We care more about how fast you learn than how much you already know.

What you'll do

* Build and ship features on Next.js, admin dashboards and Node.js/Express APIs

* Work on our AI search, which combines keyword search with vector search over MongoDB Atlas

* Build and improve LLM-powered pipelines and agents that enrich data, check AI output and draft content

* Use AI coding tools every day to move faster, and know when not to trust them

* Keep the site fast, using static generation, server-side and database caching, and Cloudflare at the edge

* Keep things secure: authentication, rate limiting, input sanitising and keeping secrets out of code

* Run and maintain background workers and scheduled jobs on Linux servers

What we're looking for

* 1-2 Years of experience

* Solid JavaScript, with real experience in React or Next.js and Node.js

* Good knowledge of how the web works: HTTP, APIs, DNS, CDNs, and where caching happens (browser, CDN, server, database)

* Comfort with databases. You can design a data model, write queries and understand indexes

* A working understanding of LLMs: what they do well, where they fail, and how embeddings, vector search and AI agents fit together

* An understanding of why different models and approaches suit different jobs, for example cost against quality, or keyword against semantic search

* Security sense. You know why user input can't be trusted and how auth and permissions should work

* Clear communication. You can explain a technical decision in plain language and keep the team updated

* Evidence that you teach yourself new things

What we use

Next.js, React, Node.js, Express, MongoDB Atlas (including vector search), Prisma, Docker, Cloudflare, Git, Linux, and LLMs from Anthropic, OpenAI and Google.

You don't need to know all of it. We'll help you learn the rest.

Nice to have

* You've built something with an LLM API or an agent

* Experience with search, ranking or embeddings

* Hands-on experience with Cloudflare, Docker or managing a Linux server

* Basic technical SEO knowledge

* An interest in climate and sustainability

This role is probably not for you if you want to stay in one layer of the stack. You'll work across frontend, backend, data and AI.
