Key Responsibilities

Requirement & Documentation Ownership: Lead elicitation sessions to define business problems and author comprehensive artifacts, including Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Trade Lifecycle & Process Design: Design end-to-end business processes for various financial instruments (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX). Identify issues in legacy data flows and design "To-Be" optimized workflows for settlement, risk calculation, and financial reporting.

Regulatory & Compliance Alignment: Translate complex regulations (e.g., MiFID II, Basel III/IV, BCBS 239, ASIC, APRA) into functional requirements and ensure all technical solutions satisfy strict compliance standards.

Data Management & Mapping: Analyze product catalogues from market data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) and perform source-to-target mapping. Validate data quality and ensure consistency across reference data management systems.Agile Leadership & Testing: Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and backlog grooming. Define test plans, manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and lead defect triage for critical releases.

Stakeholder & Vendor Integration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Front Office, Compliance, Technology) and external stakeholders to manage dependencies, resolve conflicts, and drive project milestones.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: 8–10+ years of Business Analysis experience specifically within Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Information Technology (MBA in Finance preferred).

Technical Proficiency

Domain Tools: Bloomberg, Reuters, Markit, or typical IB technology systems.

Management Tools: JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and MS Project.

Data Tools: Advanced SQL skills for data analysis and troubleshooting.

Methodologies: Expert knowledge of Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and Waterfall SDLC frameworks.

Certifications (Preferred): Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Financial Market certifications (e.g., NSE, CFA).
