We are seeking a detail-oriented Master Data Specialist | Data Management Analyst to maintain high-quality master data, improve data-management processes, and support accurate and consistent business information across the organization. This role combines master data governance, data quality management, analysis, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure critical business data remains accurate, complete, consistent, secure, and fit for operational and analytical use.
🎯 Key Responsibilities• Manage and maintain master data across business systems, databases, and enterprise applications.
- Create, update, validate, and maintain master records according to established standards and procedures.
- Manage customer, supplier, product, material, employee, financial, and other relevant master-data domains.
- Review data requests and ensure new or modified records meet defined requirements.
- Perform data validation, cleansing, standardization, enrichment, and deduplication activities.
- Identify inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, inconsistent, or outdated master data.
- Investigate data-quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with relevant business teams.
- Establish and maintain data-quality rules, validation checks, and monitoring processes.
- Monitor key data-quality metrics and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Analyze master-data structures to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support data governance initiatives and ensure master-data practices align with organizational standards.
- Maintain data dictionaries, business definitions, metadata, reference data, and documentation.
- Define and document data-management procedures, workflows, controls, and operating standards.
- Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and resolve data-related issues.
- Work with IT and application teams to support master-data configuration, integration, and system changes.
- Support ERP, CRM, supply-chain, finance, procurement, and other enterprise systems that rely on master data.
- Coordinate master-data creation and maintenance across multiple systems and business units.
- Analyze data dependencies and assess the potential impact of master-data changes.
- Support data migration, system implementation, data consolidation, and transformation projects.
- Perform data mapping and reconciliation between source and target systems.
- Develop reports and dashboards to monitor data quality, completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Automate repetitive data-management and validation activities where possible.
- Support root-cause analysis for recurring data-quality problems.
- Recommend process improvements that reduce manual data-entry errors and improve operational efficiency.
- Establish appropriate approval and control processes for sensitive or critical master-data changes.
- Monitor data-management requests and ensure they are completed within agreed service levels.
- Support audits and provide evidence of data controls, approvals, and maintenance activities.
- Train business users on master-data standards, data-entry procedures, and data-quality requirements.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and security when handling business and customer information.
- Participate in data-governance meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging data-management technologies, governance practices, and industry standards.
✅ Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in master data management, data analysis, data quality, data governance, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of master-data concepts, data lifecycles, data quality, and data governance.
- Experience managing structured business data across ERP, CRM, or other enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with customer, supplier, product, material, financial, or organizational master-data domains.
- Strong data validation, cleansing, standardization, and reconciliation skills.
- Experience identifying and resolving duplicate, incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate data.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization and reporting tools is beneficial.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent systems is preferred.
- Understanding of CRM and enterprise application data structures is advantageous.
- Experience with data migration, integration, or system implementation projects is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to investigate complex data issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
