Head of Product
Head of Product — Sitrep Technologies
About Sitrep Technologies
Sitrep Technologies is a new, independent clinical technology company commercialising a proven Electronic Data Capture (EDC) / eCRF platform originally built and battle-tested inside a working CRO. We are turning that internal system into a standalone software product for CROs, cosmetic and FMCG companies, biotech, and pharma — organisations that need compliant, configurable data capture without the cost and overhead of the incumbent enterprise tools.
We are small, lean, and building deliberately. This is a founding-team role with real ownership.
The role
As Head of Product, you own the transformation of a working internal tool into a commercial, multi-customer software product — and then its roadmap as we grow. You set product direction, translate customer needs into what gets built, own the compliance and validation documentation that regulated buyers demand, and work hand-in-hand with the Technical Lead to ship. In practice, you will operate as the senior day-to-day product and delivery leader of the business.
You report to the Founder, who holds strategic direction and governance.
What you will own
- Productisation. Define what it takes to move the platform from an internal tool to a sellable, multi-tenant, configurable product — and drive it to done.
- Roadmap and prioritisation. Own the product roadmap. Decide what gets built, in what order, and why, balancing customer demand against engineering capacity.
- Customer requirements. Turn conversations with CROs, sponsors, cosmetic/FMCG and pharma buyers into clear, prioritised product requirements.
- Implementation framework. Build the repeatable process for onboarding and configuring the platform for each new customer.
- Validation and compliance documentation. Own the product's regulated-software readiness — validation packages (IQ/OQ/PQ), 21 CFR Part 11 alignment, GAMP 5 / computer system validation documentation — working with our quality/compliance consultant.
- Delivery coordination. Partner closely with the Technical Lead to plan, sequence, and ship releases.
What success looks like
- First 90 days: a clear, costed productisation roadmap agreed with the Founder and Technical Lead; a documented view of the gap between the current internal build and a market-ready product.
- First 6 months: the platform configurable for an external customer; an implementation framework and core validation documentation in place.
- First 9–12 months: the product supporting its first external customer(s) beyond the founding CRO, with a prioritised roadmap driving the next phase.
Must-have experience
- Proven track record taking a B2B software product from early to commercial as a product owner / product manager / head of product.
- Experience in a regulated or compliance-heavy software domain — clinical, healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, or similar — where validation and audit requirements are part of the product, not an afterthought.
- Working knowledge of regulated-software expectations: 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5 / CSV, data privacy, and what enterprise/pharma procurement demands.
- Enough technical depth to partner credibly with engineering on architecture and trade-offs.
- Comfort operating lean and hands-on in an early-stage, single-product company — setting direction and also doing the work.
Strong plus
- Direct experience with EDC, eCRF, CTMS, or clinical data systems.
- Experience selling or supporting software sold to CROs, sponsors, or pharma.
- Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS productisation and configuration.
- Experience standing up a QMS or pursuing SOC 2 / ISO 27001.
Who this is for
Someone who wants founding-level ownership of a product with a real head start — a working platform and a first customer — rather than a blank page. You are comfortable being the senior operator who makes the product happen, you think commercially, and you are energised by building the company, not just the backlog.
