Product Manager
About BabyBillion
BabyBillion is a safe, smart, and engaging learning platform for children aged 2-8. We bring together videos, games, and interactive learning in an ad-free, parent-friendly app. We're looking for a Product Manager to own the user journey, from a parent discovering the app and starting a trial to their child building a regular learning habit. You'll work closely with the leadership, engineering, design, content, and growth teams to turn user insights into measurable product improvements.
What you'll own
Onboarding and conversion: Simplify onboarding, communicate the app's value, and improve install-to-trial and trial-to-paid conversion.
Retention and subscriptions: Improve the subscription experience, payment journeys, renewals, and monthly paid-user retention.
Content discovery: Help children find relevant videos, categories, and playlists through better homepage layouts, recommendations, search, and navigation.
Meaningful engagement: Build age-appropriate games, interactive experiences, and gamification that encourage learning and repeat usage.
Product roadmap: Identify the highest-impact problems, prioritise them, and own execution from discovery to launch and post-launch measurement.
What you'll do
- Speak with parents and study user behaviour to understand needs, friction, and reasons for dropping off.
- Analyse funnels, cohorts, content performance, and engagement data to identify opportunities.
- Write clear PRDs, user flows, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Work closely with designers and engineers to ship improvements, test releases, and resolve product issues.
- Run experiments and evaluate whether changes improve conversion, retention, and learning engagement.
- Partner with the content team to improve discovery and understand why strong content may receive limited exposure.
- Collaborate with growth on acquisition-to-payment journeys, attribution, and user quality.
- Keep child safety, age appropriateness, and parent trust central to product decisions.
Tech team collaboration and delivery
- Own the development cycle with the tech team, from requirements and design handoff through estimation, development, QA, release, and post-launch review.
- Manage Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Track action items and follow through on improvements.
- Maintain a prioritised backlog with clear user stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and a shared definition of done.
- Agree sprint goals, scope, timelines, and capacity with engineering. Balance new features, bugs, technical debt, and maintenance with the tech lead.
- Track sprint progress, surface blockers early, coordinate dependencies, and communicate delivery risks and scope changes to stakeholders.
- Coordinate QA and user acceptance testing, prioritise defects, and confirm release readiness against agreed acceptance criteria.
- Plan releases with engineering, design, content, and growth; monitor issues after launch and coordinate fixes and product improvements.
What we're looking for
- 1-5 years of experience in product management.
- Previous experience working on consumer apps, particularly in subscriptions, edtech, content, or gaming, is good to have.
- Strong understanding of conversion funnels, cohort analysis, retention, and experimentation.
- Comfort using product analytics tools and dashboards to identify problems and measure outcomes.
- Strong product judgement and the ability to simplify experiences for both parents and children.
- Hands-on experience working with engineering teams and managing Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint boards, and release cycles.
- Clear communication, structured thinking, and hands-on execution.
- Ownership of outcomes, with the ability to prioritise and move quickly in a startup.
How success will be measured
- Higher install-to-trial and trial-to-paid conversion.
- Better monthly paid-user retention and renewal rates.
- Increased daily active usage among paid users.
- Improved content discovery and meaningful time spent.
- Predictable sprint delivery, fewer unresolved blockers, and stable releases with measurable impact after launch.
Why join us?
You'll own core product decisions, work directly with leadership, and help shape how young children learn while building a consumer subscription business.
