Job Description for QA Specialist (Automation)

Role Purpose

The QA Specialist will be responsible for test strategy, integration and functional test automation and supporting the validation of the end-to-end functionality involving

  • API integrations with upstream and downstream systems
  • Data validation and reconciliation
  • Process flows and changes

within LSEG’s Anti-Financial Crime technology estate.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary QA team. The resource is expected to take ownership of validation of the integrations from configuration, deployment and production support

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong API Test Automation skills, Python programming and SQL skills. Preferable to have Fenergo product knowledge and understanding of KYC, client lifecycle management and financial crime controls.

Key Responsibilities

Develop automated test scenarios for validating APIs, rules, customization, error handling, retry processes, reconciliation controls and regression testing

Test Data management, upstream-downstream integrated end to end testing

Participate throughout the delivery lifecycle. Review requirements, solution designs and integration designs to identify risks and derive areas of testing

Responsible for and develop automation test suite for integration, regression, performance testing and support user-acceptance testing

Requirements

Essential Experience and technical skills

  • Significant hands-on experience in automated API testing and data reconciliation/validation.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Test Automation/Quality Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of automation frameworks, with the ability to independently design, develop, enhance, and maintain automation frameworks.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with good understanding of:
  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Software design principles and concepts
  • Hands-on experience in API testing and database testing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and automation.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL or equivalent data-querying skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of automation activities.

Additional Skills Preferred

  • Fenergo KYC and Client Lifecycle Management process
  • Good knowledge on AWS
  • Experience in working with Pytest Framework

Desirable Experience

Testing Fenergo implementation and integrations within a large bank, financial-market infrastructure provider or regulated financial-services organisation

Relevant Fenergo training or certification
